I am selected to perform at the piano master class of the prestigious Virginia Waring
International Piano Competition on January 10, 2005 for Dr. Robert Roux. Virginia Waring
International Piano Competition is a world class event for young pianists that takes place
every 4 years.
Martin Luther King Tribute Concert
January 2005
I am a featured artist invited by the Hollywood Mass Choir to play at the Martin Luther King
Tribute Concert in Hollywood. It is a big hit and I receive two standing ovations! I sign
autographs and take pictures with the audience at the post-concert reception.

Admittance into the Colburn School Piano Department
January 2005
I did an audition in August, 04, with the piano department chair of the Colburn School of
Performing Arts of Los Angeles, Dr. Louis Lepley and got admitted into this prestigious
school. I receive instructions from Dr. Stephen Cook in January 2005. I am currently a
scholarship student at the Colburn School of Performing Arts.

LAVS (Los Angeles Violoncello Society) Annual Scholarship Audition
April 2005
I win third prize in this audition for cello students 16 years old and under from several
different counties.

Selected as a 2005 Davidson Fellow
June 2005
I am selected to be a 2005 Davidson Fellow by the Davidson Institute for Talent
Development (http://www.ditd.org/), the youngest ever recipient of this award. I'll be
awarded with a scholarship and a trip to Washington, D.C., to be recognized and honored
for my achievement in the field of Music.

Winner of the 2005 Leni Fe Bland Audition Competition
July 2005
Previously known as the Santa Barbara Foundation Audition, Leni Fe Bland is a scholarship
audition for all musicians 16 years of age or under. This year I am the youngest participant
and winner.

Generally, I am hoping I will be able to attend as many music camps, festivals and
competitions as my finances will allow. What I really hope is that one day I will be able to
step on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York or the Royal Albert Hall in London playing
with the finest symphony orchestras in the world.
Voices of Hope Concert at John Anson Ford Amphitheater, Hollywood

I am previleged to play on this prestigious stage for this meaningful concert as a soloist.
Together with other musicians, we help raise money to help people suffering from extreme
poverty in third world countries.

Voice of America Talk Show "Talk to America"

I am honored to be invited as a guest on Doug Bernard's program "Talk to America" on the
radio station Voice of America in Washington, D.C. We talk for a full hour on the topic
"Prodigies : Past and Present" along with my mom, Chloe, and Ellen Winner, author and
Psychology professor at Boston College.

Solo Concert: Monterey Highland Elementary School
July 23th 2005
I give this free concert sponsored by Monterey Park Council Member David Lau and 700
something people show up! There are only 450 seats but thanks to the help of the school
principal, Mr Cash, we are able to accomodate as many people as possible, with many
standing audience. It is an unforgettable night and I enjoy the conversations with the
audience after the concert. Thanks to my first piano teacher, Pamela Lam, who
accompanies me on the Bach F minor Piano Concerto, and John Lee, who accompanies me
on the Vivaldi G minor Cello Concerto.

Winner of the 2005 Young Musicians Foundation Scholarship

I am selected as the recipient of the Barbara and David L. Abell Scholarship and the
Ackerberg Scholarship. Students from all over Southern California, ages 9 to 25, audition
for the prestigious YMF scholarship awards every year. I am the youngest participant this
year and I am very honored to be a winner of two awards.

I appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. It is a lot of fun on and off stage. I saw my
idol, Lang Lang, on the show before and I can't believe I can be like him, too! I tell some
jokes and play the piano. Jay shows me his pet bee in my dressing room and autographs his
book "If Roast Beef Could Fly" for me. He has a big chin but he is a very funny guy.

station AM 1300 in Los Angeles. My music appears on air again. It is a wonderful experience
to share my experience as a musician on air with the audience.

The Davidson Fellowship Award in Washington, D.C.
September 28th 2005
I am so honored to be selected as a 2005 Davidson Fellow and be awarded in Washington,
D.C. I and the other 16 Fellows have a reception and give speeches at the Library Congress.
We also meet with our Senators and Congress Representatives. I have a chance to meet and
chat with the founders of the Davidson Institute, Bob and Jan Davidson. This is a major
highlight of my career. I benefit tremendoulsy from learning from the other bright young
